Research (of artists and techniques)

I focused this shoot on Saul Leiter's use of busy city environments to achieve framing through windows and objects that are abstract. I will be using influence from Dann Ginn in this shoot.

Dann Ginn ........

Depth of field (DoF) - The distance between the nearest and furthest points in which an object will be in focus. A longer distance means the DoF is deeper, and a shorter distance means the DoF is shallower. This selective focus technique allows the artist to directly control which areas of the frame the viewer should be focused on.

Aims

In this shoot I aim to capture inner city life, to manipulate framing through basic things such as fencing and sculptures in areas such as westminster, with all my photographs including people.

I will be focusing on the angles at which my images are taken, ensuring there is a clear frame that produces an abstract effect. I will be seeing how I can manipulate pre-made street artworks for my own advantage.

the images ticked fit my intentions from the start of the shoot and the rest are me experimenting with my surroundings.

My Best images

This image captures framing from an abstract bench on the riverside, I think this image has juxtaposition its meaning as the lady in the main frame is alone and it creates a sense of isolation from the individuals either side of her. The colour that is dominating this photo is the fluorescent orange which i think is This photograph is directly inspired by an image from Dann Ginn but this is my interpretation of it.
